At cappa, craftsmanship is not a feature — it is the essence.

Each cappa piece is designed in Amsterdam and handcrafted in our Sarajevo atelier, where time-honoured savoir-faire meets modern, functional design. From the first cut to the final stitch, every piece is made entirely by hand — and each cappa requires between three and five hours of meticulous work to complete.

We create handcrafted waterproof headpieces and delicate tulle designs that balance protection and elegance, utility and refinement. Our process is intentionally slow, guided by precision, patience, and an uncompromising standard of quality.

The Art of the Handmade

cappa was founded on a deliberate choice: to honour local production and preserve true craftsmanship.

Rooted in her Balkan heritage, founder Una returned to Sarajevo — a city with a rich tradition of fine workmanship — to establish cappa’s atelier and build long-term relationships with exceptional local artisans.

By keeping production close, we ensure fair working conditions, ethical practices, and complete control over every stage of creation.

Our materials are sourced locally in Sarajevo, allowing us to personally select, inspect, and approve every component. This results in a more curated palette — and a more considered product.

The beauty of local
Craftsmanship

For our Tulle Collection, each embellishment is individually selected, and each veil is composed by hand. This ensures that many of our pieces are unique, shaped by the materials, the season, and the moment of their creation.

Our devotion to detail extends beyond the piece itself. Our packaging and printed materials are produced in Sarajevo, while our woven label is created in Paris — uniting three cities that define the cappa universe.

Every cappa creation is an object of intention: handmade, handcrafted, and designed to endure — where function becomes elegance, and craftsmanship becomes identity.
